While you can find all the specifications lower on this page, we wanted to start with the basic questions that get asked over and over again.
- Is it really road legal?
- Yes, depending on your jurisdiction you may have to do different things to register it (such as a law enforcement inspection).
- Is it ‘Chinese trash’ / Is it going to fall apart after 20 miles / Is it worth it?
- Yes, it is Chinese in origin. Taken care of, and assembled properly, these Chinese bikes are known to last 10s of thousands of miles. Without oil changes and other proper maintenance, yes it will fall apart just like any other Japanese or American bike. Is it worth it? – well it’s about half the price of it’s closest Japenese competitor when you compare to actual out of the dealership prices.. so for me it is.. for you, maybe?
- Do I have to put it together?
- Depends. Many of us enjoy putting them together (it’s not from scratch, just adding the front wheel, handlebars, etc) as we know it is done correctly. You can also order it assembled from various dealers.
- What’s the Horsepower / top speed / can it wheelie / etc?
- 20, 75ish, sure. But really- if you’re looking for a performance monster.. this ain’t it. This is a great bike that will ride just fine on the street and dirt, but isn’t the best bike in the world for either. If you want to hit some sweet jumps and do flips, go get yourself a real dirtbike.. if you want to rip through the gears to 150mph down an interstate then go get yourself a sportbike. This is the in between.. the dual sport.. the best of both worlds, but not the best in either of them.
